VAR is dedicated to…
uniting the Vietnamese community through joyful celebrations and festivities.
The LNY SJ, established in 2023, is a collaboration between VAR and the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations, Northern California.
Our mission as a collective of Asian-American youth is to infuse a fresh perspective into Lunar New Year celebrations. By reimagining and revitalizing these festivities, alongside young professionals, college students, and our community, we aim to redefine the Lunar New Year experience in San Jose.
We believe meaningful community engagement should be enjoyable and rewarding for all members.
VAR sets a precedent by offering a board of advisors and experienced professionals to both support and mentor youth in their efforts to organize and realize the Lunar New Year festival.
